Welcome to Kids Ministry
Welcoming and loving each child in Jesus' name, growing with them as Jesus' disciples, and serving others together in His name.
We do this in the midst of a community that sincerely lives out the vows regularly affirmed at baptism, to provide a place where children can grow in Christian friendships, in knowing God's Word, in responding to Jesus as Savior and Lord, and in service to God's world.
Meredith Drive Reformed Church believes in the importance of modeling intergenerational praise and worship. We also recognize that children will best learn of the love of Jesus in an age-appropriate setting. To accomplish both, our families begin their time together on Sunday mornings in the worship area.
We welcome your entire family to worship at 9:00 AM; a time of intergenerational praise and worship. At approximately 9:15 AM, children ages 3 years (by 9/15/19) through 5th grade are dismissed to their classes where they experience a large group/small group hour of scripture, Bible story, music, crafts and drama. Nursery is available for infants through 3 years old during the morning worship hour.

Meredith Drive Reformed Church offers amazing midweek opportunities on Wednesday nights at our Meredith Drive campus for 1st-5th grade students. Kids will grow in their relationship with Jesus through our age-specific activities and programs. Families are encouraged to bring along neighbors and friends to these fun and interactive evenings.
1st-3rd grade adventure club - 6:45-7:45 PM
Adventure Club is an action-packed hour with games, activities, and awesome Bible lessons! This year students are learning about the Fruits of the Spirit. Our hope is that this growth opportunity is a spark that will ignite a deeper sense of identity, belonging, and mission in each and every child!
4-5th grade salt & light - 6:45-7:45 PM
Salt and Light is geared for 4th and 5th-grade students and aims to inspire wonder and curiosity about who God is in their lives! This year we are deepening our faith in Christ by scripture exploration and "dirty jobs!" Yes, that's right...messy, slimy, muddy, sticky, and dirty jobs! Each week our Salt and Light leaders plan mind-boggling activities to help kids think through real-world realities and their developing faith in Jesus Christ!
Do you love kids and have a desire to make Jesus known to the next generation? Kids Ministry invites you to sign up today for one of our many Sunday morning, Wednesday Night, and Summer volunteer positions.
Do you like to rock babies, read stories, build towers, dress dollies, or play pretend? We need people like you in our nursery. Consider volunteering once every few months on a Sunday morning or bless a family during a holiday worship hour. Do you enjoy interacting with preschool children; helping them color, cut, glue and create? Maybe you'd like telling Bible stories - we provide everything you need! We could use your help in preschool Sunday Kids Connection.
On Sunday mornings we need small group leaders and music leaders, story tellers, and more! Our kids don't need perfection, they only need your passionate love for Jesus to shine through! We also have Wednesday night activities for kids in 1st-5th grade and are always looking for group leaders who will make things fun in the process of sharing Jesus' teachings.
Summer Vacation Bible School, Trunk-or-Treat, and our Easter Treasure Hunt need lots of volunteers to help, from the planning stages and design of the visuals to small group leaders who will shepherd a group of children. Consider helping out at one of our yearly outreach activities. Our Kids Ministry outreach events are a great way to get involved.
Is there something here that makes you think you need to get involved? Contact our Kids Ministry Pastor, Bep Reeves for more information.
