About Student Ministry
The vision of Student Ministries at MDRC is lifelong discipleship that reflects Christ. To attain this Vision we focus on our Mission: to Love God and neighbor as Christ commanded, to Grow in knowledge of God and self, to Worship in Spirit and truth, and to Go and make disciples as Christ commissioned.
Wednesday Night Alive
6:15-7:30 PM: 68 Ministry (Grades 6-8)
7:30-9:30 PM: 912 MINISTRY (GRADES 9-12)
68 (grades 6-8)
Our 68 ministry meets from 6:15-7:30 PM at our Bridge campus. Doors open at 6 PM and students are regularly found in the gym playing basketball, Frisbee, soccer, or talking with friends right up until we start. Our nights consist of fun, games, a large group lesson, small group discussions by grade and gender, and fresh baked cookies to top it all off.
912 (grades 9-12)
Our 912 ministry meets from 7:30-9:30 PM at our Bridge campus. Students arrive and gather upstairs where we have food ready and waiting for them. Our nights consist of fun, an ice-breaker activity, a large group lesson; and ends with time in small groups organized by grade and gender. Students often hang out in the gym afterwards and play basketball, Frisbee, football, or anything else they can think of. Doors close at 10 PM.
Profession is a time to take a look at what it means to follow Jesus and to decide if it's time to say, "Yes, I'm going to follow Jesus."
Students have the opportunity to take the next step in their faith journey through a mixture of experiences designed to help grow in understanding God's love for all of us. It includes being in worship regularly, but just as importantly it involves conversations with parents and adult mentors about faith issues, and serving our church and community as Jesus calls us to do.
If you will be a 7th or 8th grader this fall and are interested in participating in Profession contact Pastor Gary Hanson.
